New Roles

Rick is recently unemployed and therefore has more time on his hands than I do. As a result, he has resumed his position as Chief Dishwasher and is also now Apprentice Breadmaker.

s/v High Country
s/v High Country had been our home for years until one day, I asked Rick, "Wouldn't it be fun to sail to Maine so I can be a teacher?" So that's what we did! (I know, it's backwards, just like marrying in the Caribbean and honeymooning in Wisconsin) Blog posts from 2007-2009 chronicle part of that journey. In 2009, I started teaching in Midcoast Maine. Rick and I bought a house, sold the boat, and grew a garden, so I figured this blog was done, but like I said in my first post of 2020, recent events inspired me to bring this blog back to life.
